The AI tools for real estate agents that earn their cost each do one job: an AI receptionist such as callflo.ai for the phone, Follow Up Boss for the CRM, ChatGPT or Write.homes for listing copy, Virtual Staging AI for empty rooms, and ListedKit for the transaction file. Most cost 15 to 70 dollars a month, read from each pricing page in October 2026.

Key takeaways

  • In NAR's 2026 Technology Report, 48 percent of agents use AI daily or weekly. The top uses are listing descriptions (75 percent), social posts (56 percent) and emails and follow-up (52 percent).
  • Published entry prices as of October 2026 run from free (ChatGPT) to 69 dollars a user a month (Follow Up Boss on monthly billing). Transaction AI is priced per deal: 14.99 dollars for a buyer file on ListedKit.
  • Two of these jobs carry legal strings. California has required a disclosure on virtually staged listing photos since January 1, 2026, and the FCC treats AI voices on outbound calls as artificial voices that need consent.
  • The phone is the job most AI roundups skip. In NAR's 2025 buyer profile, 26 percent of buyers first contacted their agent by phone, more than any other channel. callflo.ai is our pick for it, and we make it.

One table, nine tools, six jobs, in the order they hit your week. Each price was read from the vendor's own pricing page in October 2026, on the entry plan a solo agent would buy. Where a vendor does not publish a price, the table says so instead of guessing.

No tool here does all six jobs well, and the ones that claim to tend to do the CRM well and the rest adequately. Pick by job. The sections below say where each one wins and where it does not.

How we picked these tools

We started from the jobs agents say they use AI for, in NAR's 2026 Technology Report, and added the two that roundups usually skip: answering the phone and running the transaction file. For each job we picked the tool a solo agent or small team could start on this month, with a published price where one exists.

  • Priced from the source. Every number comes from the vendor's own pricing page in October 2026, never from another list. Listicle prices go stale fast.
  • Standalone tools. We left out website platforms that bundle AI into a larger contract, because you cannot buy the AI part alone.
  • No affiliate links. Nobody paid to be here. We make one of the tools, callflo.ai, and say where it loses.
  • Jobs over features. A tool that does one job well beat a suite that lists twelve.

AI for the phone: answering the calls you cannot take

An AI receptionist answers your line when you cannot: during a showing, at a closing, at 9pm on a Sunday. It asks the caller your questions, books the showing on your calendar and texts you the summary. It is the one job on this list that has to happen in real time, because a caller who reaches voicemail calls the next agent.

The phone is also where your paid leads land. Zillow says it sends Premier Agent live connections straight to your phone. Yard signs print your cell. In CallRail's 2025 survey of 1,000 consumers, only 42 percent leave a voicemail, and 82 percent say they will call a competitor when nobody answers. None of the three top-ranking AI tools roundups we read for this post covers inbound calls at all.

Sample call: a sign caller during a showing

Caller
Hi, I'm outside 42 Birch. What are they asking?
callflo.ai
It's listed at 489,000. Are you looking to buy in the next few months?
Caller
Yes, we're pre-approved. Can we see it this week?
callflo.ai
I have Thursday at 5:30 or Saturday at 10. Which works?
Caller
Saturday.
callflo.ai
Booked for Saturday at 10. I'll text you the confirmation now.
Sample call, written to illustrate. The agent gets the caller's name, number, pre-approval and showing time by text before the call ends.

Our pick: callflo.ai. It answers in one ring, qualifies with your questions, books to Google Calendar or Calendly, texts the caller a follow-up, and can take a card payment on the call through Stripe. Plans start at 39 dollars a month on annual billing, 49 monthly, with 120 minutes included; the pricing page shows which plan includes booking and payments. You forward your cell or office line, so the number on your signs does not change. The AI receptionist for agents page shows the setup.

Where it loses: past 120 minutes it bills 0.98 dollars a minute, and some AI answering services include more minutes for the money. On a busy line that matters. The payment feature also matters more to a property manager taking application fees than to a buyer's agent. If you want the side-by-side on price and minutes, the AI answering services comparison for agents prices five of them.

AI agents for real estate lead qualification and follow-up

An AI agent for real estate, sometimes called an AI ISA, works your lead list for you. It texts, emails and sometimes calls new and old leads, asks the qualifying questions, and hands you the ones who answer. It is conversational AI pointed outward, at leads who have not reached you yet.

Conversational AI for real estate covers three different products, and vendors blur them. A website chatbot answers typed questions on your site. An AI receptionist answers the calls that come in. An AI ISA starts conversations with leads by text, email or phone. All three qualify; they differ in who speaks first.

Structurely is the established name. Its pricing page lists inbound and outbound voice, text and email workflows, call cadences, live transfers and appointment booking. The platform fee is by quote; usage starts at 0.07 dollars a voice minute and 0.02 dollars a text. It suits a team with a large database of aging leads more than a solo agent with forty.

Inbound and outbound qualification are different jobs. The receptionist qualifies the person who called you; the AI ISA chases the person who did not. What either should ask, and which tools ask it, is in the lead qualification comparison. For the cadence itself, days and touches, see real estate lead follow-up.

Real estate AI assistant features inside your CRM

The real estate AI assistant most agents will actually use lives inside the CRM they already pay for. It summarizes calls, drafts the next text, and tells you who to call first. Buying a separate AI assistant on top of a CRM that does this is usually paying twice.

Follow Up Boss includes its AI on every plan, per its pricing page: smart summaries, smart messages, suggested tasks and predictive lead prioritization. Grow is 69 dollars a user a month, or 58 on annual billing, with calling as a 39 dollar add-on. Pro is 499 dollars a month for ten users with unlimited calling. There is a 14-day trial.

Lofty leans harder into AI: its plans page lists custom AI agents, scheduled AI tasks and AI lead scoring on every tier. It does not publish prices; every plan says request pricing. If you want to know what you will pay before a sales call, that is a point for Follow Up Boss.

AI tools for listing descriptions and marketing copy

Listing copy is where agents start with AI, and for good reason. A first draft of a description, three captions and a just-listed email takes a minute instead of an evening. In NAR's 2026 Technology Report, 75 percent of agents using AI use it for listing descriptions, and 91 percent of them use ChatGPT.

0%
of agents use AI daily or weekly (NAR, 2026)
0%
of agents using AI write listing descriptions with it (NAR, 2026)
0%
of agents using AI use ChatGPT (NAR, 2026)

ChatGPT has a free plan, and its paid plans are priced by country on its pricing page, so check the number in yours. It writes well from a good brief: beds, baths, square footage, the three features buyers ask about, and the tone. Give it facts; it will invent them otherwise.

Write.homes is built for real estate. Its entry plan is 25 dollars a month, about 17 on annual billing, for 500 AI credits, a listing generator, social captions and MLS integration, with a 14-day trial. It saves the prompt writing. Whether that is worth 25 dollars over a free general tool depends on how many listings you write.

AI virtual staging and photo tools

AI virtual staging furnishes a photo of an empty room in seconds, for a few dollars a photo instead of a physical staging bill. For vacant listings it is the easiest win on this list. It is also the one with a new law attached.

Virtual Staging AI sells subscriptions on its pricing page: 16 dollars a month for 6 photos, 19 for 20, and 39 for 60, with furniture removal included and a turnaround of about 10 seconds. Apply Design is pay as you go: its coins work out to 7 to 10 dollars per photo in the drag-and-drop editor, a bit more for one-click staging, and the first image is free. One vacant listing a quarter favors Apply Design; a steady pipeline favors the subscription.

Since January 1, 2026, California's AB 723 has required California licensees to label a digitally altered listing image and link to the original. It covers staging, removed features and changed views, not brightness or cropping. Other states may follow, and your MLS may have its own rule. Label staged photos everywhere and you will not have to track which.

AI for transaction coordination

Transaction AI reads the contract, pulls the dates, builds the timeline and nags everyone about the documents still missing. It replaces the spreadsheet more than the coordinator, and it is the least glamorous tool here and possibly the one that saves the most hours per deal.

ListedKit prices by deal, not by month. Its pricing pagecharges one credit, 14.99 dollars, for a buyer file and two for listing to close, with bulk discounts and the first transaction free. Its assistant, Ava, analyzes documents and email, builds timelines and tracks to-dos. An agent closing nine sides a year, the typical count in NAR's 2026 member data, would spend well under 300 dollars a year on it. You still sign off on every deadline; a missed inspection date is yours, not the software's.

What an AI stack for a solo agent costs

A working AI stack for a solo agent costs about 116 dollars a month on annual billing, plus about 15 dollars per buyer file. That is callflo.ai Starter at 39, Follow Up Boss Grow at 58, Virtual Staging AI at 19, a free ChatGPT plan and ListedKit per deal, all at October 2026 prices.

TransactionsListedKit, per buyer deal$14.99 a file
Total$116 a month plus files

For scale: in NAR's 2026 Member Profile, the typical agent's total business expenses were 9,530 dollars in 2025, about 794 dollars a month. The stack is a seventh of that. Start with the job that loses you the most money today, not the one with the best demo.

Which AI tool to buy first

Buy the tool for the job that loses you the most money this month. For most agents that is a missed call or a lead nobody followed up, not a listing description. Copy and staging save hours; the phone and follow-up save deals. A rough guide:

  • You miss calls during showings: an AI receptionist first. Count a week of missed calls on your phone log before you decide.
  • You have a database of old leads nobody works: an AI ISA such as Structurely, after you check consent.
  • You have no CRM, or one you never open: Follow Up Boss, and use the AI that comes with it before buying another assistant.
  • You list more than you buy: ChatGPT for copy and a staging tool for vacant rooms.
  • You close more than two deals a month: ListedKit or another transaction assistant, priced per file.

Then give each tool thirty days and one number to beat: calls answered, leads contacted, hours saved on a listing. A tool that cannot move its number in a month will not move it in a year.

What AI tools still cannot do for an agent

AI drafts, answers, sorts and reminds. It does not walk a nervous buyer through an inspection report, read a seller's face at the kitchen table or negotiate a repair credit. Every tool here hands those back to you, faster and better prepared.

  • Facts: AI writes confident copy about features a house does not have. Check every number.
  • Judgment calls: a receptionist should transfer or take a message when a caller is upset or the question is legal.
  • Relationships: the follow-up AI starts conversations; you have to finish them.

Whether that adds up to AI taking the job is a fair question, and will AI replace real estate agents answers it with the data. The short version: the agents adopting these tools are the ones with more time for the parts AI cannot do.
